Amanda P. Williams, MD, MPH, FACOG, joined CMQCC as Clinical Innovation Advisor in summer 2022, and is an adjunct clinical associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology at Stanford Medicine. She also serves as Interim Chief Medical Officer at March of Dimes. Her primary area of clinical interest is collaborative obstetrics and her organizational leadership work focuses on maternity care performance improvement and pregnancy care delivery, with a special focus on the elimination of health disparities and integration of virtual prenatal care.
Prior to joining CMQCC, Dr. Williams was with Kaiser Permanente Oakland Medical Center, where she served as Director of Maternity Services and oversaw the maternity continuum for OB/GYN chiefs across 15 medical centers in Northern California. She has served on state and national committees, such as the California Pregnancy-Associated Mortality Review Committee and the National Quality Forum Maternal Morbidity and Mortality work group.
Dr. Williams received her Master of Arts from Harvard University, and her Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Public Health from Emory University School of Medicine with a focus on health policy and management. She completed her graduate medical training in obstetrics and gynecology at UCSF.
